Part two .Meanwhile.....

During the winter of 1989 Helen and I worked together again. The results bought us to the attention of Rhythm King records, and Sony music. In 1991 we signed a major deal set up our own studio (Love Palace Digital) and moved to a much cooler part of town! The band was Heaven West Eleven and played a major part in all aspects of my musical life. After HW11, in 1993 I moved into Bomb the Base's studio in Kensal Road (part of the excellent Eastcote chain), in west London .I worked on various productions and remixes with A&R astronaut David field, which in turn led to my long working relationship with Robbie Robertson and Jared Levine at Dreamworks Records. In 1996, through manager Boyd Steemson I hooked up with X-CNN, which would later evolve into Tinstar .The next five years, was divided into part-producer and part-rock star! It was great to be in a band again, and to experience touring and playing large gigs around the world. A refreshing antidote to the world of studio recording of which I had now spent so much time! By the end of 2001 having enjoyed a long and fruitful ride with Tinstar, I returned to producer duties. The next 18 months were spent working on and off with ex-Fluke sound-smith Mike Tournier and singer Jan Burton. They are Syntax and are set to release their debut album Meccano Mind later this year. Other recent projects include the Americana duo Eastmountainsouth on Dreamworks and the excellent Son Of Dave (Ben Darvill).
